Gareth has been employed with Mainstay DRP since 1999. He started his career as a bank member of staff whilst studying Bsc(hons) Computing and Electronics at university. Gareth decided to remain at the organisation on permanent basis and took full advantage of the numerous opportunities that became available such as degrees BPhil Autism (Adults) and Bsw(hons) Social Work.
Currently Gareth is a Registered Manager of the Rathdree Supporting Housing and has additional duties as an Adult Safeguarding Champion.
Gareth has overseen many transformations within the organisation which ranges from decanting a residential home which was not fit for purpose to assisting service users strive for independence within a supported housing service. He enjoys new challenges and systems that enable the staff team to move on from time consuming non-essential work and allows them focus on person centre planning.
Through his long years of service, he has become a familiar face to many of the service users and families and credits himself with the rapports he has created. He believes in the core values of dignity, independence, and citizenship.
